Class Rules
  1. Come to class prepared! Bring your book, workbook, notebook/paper, pen/pencil, and a good attitude to class every day.
  2. Raise your hand to get permission to speak. Always attempt your question or response in Spanish first.
  3. Show respect and kindness to your peers, to school employees, to visitors and to yourself.
  4. No disruptive behavior.

  3. Honor Code (1-5, based on offense)
  4. Trip to Principal's Office
  5. Parent/Teacher/Principal Conference

Classroom Procedures
(1) Beginning Class
  • check bell ringer instructions when entering room
  • pick up bell ringer resource (if needed) out of bin
  • in seat at or before bell
  • do bell ringer while I take attendance
(2) Ending Class
  • wait for permission to pack books
  • stay in your seat until the bell rings
(3) Leaving during class
  • Use of hall pass equals one tardy.
  • To use hall pass, sign out on the clip board and take the sombrero with you to your destination.
  • Upon returning to classroom, sign in on the clip board, put sombrero in its place, return promptly to your seat.
  • Only one person may be out of the classroom with the hall pass at one time.
  • You may use the hall pass for going to the restroom without permission. Use this privilege wisely. (See rule 1!)
  • Any other reason for using the hall pass must be cleared with me before signing out on the clipboard.
  • Only ask to see another teacher when it is his/her planning period or when you have a note from that teacher.
(4) Turning in class work, homework, tests
  • It is your responsibility to put your daily assignments and/or homework in the bin belonging to your class period.
  • It is your responsibility to put your test in the appropriate bin for tests according to which version you received: A, a, B, b. Tests put in the wrong bin may be graded with the wrong answer key!
  • Late assignments must be turned in directly to me for credit. Points will be deducted for late assignments.
(5) Absences

  • It is your responsibility to make up work within three days of your absence.
  • Make-Up work will be posted on the bulletin board with your name on it.
  • Turn in make-up work directly to me (not in the bins).
  • You must request to take a make-up test within three days of your return to school.
